Looking back at 2014 we’re proud to have been part of the continued evolution of Teesside’s digital industry. The Boho Zone of Middlesbrough is where we call home and it has been amazing to watch the area grow and transform over the last few years.
But it’s not just the local digital scene that has grown this year. Big Bite has taken on more new staff than ever, and we’re thrilled to welcome them all to the team, whilst continuing to attract some of the most impressive global clients in software and tech. The only problem: our old office was getting a little overcrowded.
If you’ve been following our regular blogs, or seeing what we’re up to on our instagram account, then you’ll already be familiar with the amount of time, effort, and planning that went into designing our new office. We may be just upstairs from our old home but it’s been a big change. Now that we’ve moved in though, it’s our team that’s really brought the new space to life. So whether we’re hard at work or unwinding as a team at the end of the day, feel free to drop by if you’re in the area. And for those of you who can’t make it, why not take a quick virtual tour below?
Take A Seat
Despite being British, we’re not big fans of waiting here at Big Bite Creative. Our new lobby area does provide a nice place for clients to enjoy an iced slow-drip coffee, and is the perfect place to flick through the latest design magazines.
“The central, railway sleeper table serves as a great collaboration space, group lunch area, and also makes for a perfect standing desk when sitting gets tiresome.” – Jon
With plenty of light from all sides and an airy, open design, the space is now the perfect place for plenty of greenery. Peace lilies, ivy, orchids, cacti and more help to keep the office feeling fresh, and that doesn’t even include the roof garden and terrace.
Something To Sip
Whether you’re starting your day with a frothy coffee from our new machine or fresh juices from the fridge, cooling off with a slow-drip iced coffee or enjoying a well-earned craft beer at the end of the day, there’s always something delicious on hand to wet your whistle.
Taylor Swift to Tokimonsta, something light for artful inspiration or something heavy for hardcore coding, our new Sonos sound system does it all. No more heated debates about which Spotify playlist to choose. Well, in theory anyway.
Pleasure To Meet You
In person or from across and ocean, our dedicated meeting room now gives us the perfect place to collaborate, discuss new projects, or keep in touch. With HD videoconferencing via Skype and Xbox Kinect we’ve never been more accessible to our clients around the world.
All work and no play would make our team a dull bunch. That’s why we’ve included plenty of space to take a breather, relax after a long day, or engage in some friendly competition. A pool table and the addition of an Xbox One also allow for lunchtime rivalries or a place to just clear your head.
“I like how there is a lot of space and light, as well as having separate areas for eating and relaxing. Oh, and FIFA15 tournaments too, obviously.” – Mark F
We’re looking forward to completing some exciting new projects in our new surroundings during 2015, as well as making some more visits to the USA. In fact, you’ll be seeing a blog recapping Jason’s time at Owners Summit, Texas later this month. But in the meantime, feel free to pop in for a coffee, challenge us at pool, or drop by to discuss your next project. You know where to find us.
