If you haven’t heard already, we have joined an extremely exclusive club of tech companies and digital agencies – Automattic’s WordPress.com VIP featured partner programme.
We’re thrilled to be joining just 10 other companies in the world that have earned this accolade, including the only other European brand, the excellent Human Made. Obviously the entire team here is excited about the new opportunities and experiences that being part of the partner programme will bring, but we’re not going to ramble on hysterically here (although no promises that we won’t do so in person when we next speak to you all), so let’s stick to the important stuff…
If you’ve not come across the WordPress.com VIP partner programme before, it’s actually rather simple. The programme highlights some of the best agencies in the world that are doing great things with WordPress, while the platform itself offers the features, scalability, and security to build WordPress sites for global brands expecting a massive amount of traffic. That means Facebook, Spotify, TechCrunch, Microsoft Studios, Metro.co.uk, Time magazine, and more.
So how did we get here? Well, without wanting to sound too clichéd, a huge amount of hard work, a lot of late nights, and by taking a few chances. Major projects for clients like Laserfiche, sharing the process of our business and experience through our blogs and speaking events, and of course our expanding suite of open-source products such as Herbert, Peggy, and others have all been important parts of this recent journey. In the coming days and weeks we’ll be talking more about all the things that this exciting new chapter might mean for our business, our clients, and the region we’re proud to call home.
But we didn’t get here alone, so for now we’d just like to thank the people who have contributed to this and many of our other milestones as a company. If you’re reading this, chances are that means you. From the people we’ve worked with to those that have given us advice over the years, the people we’ve met at conferences and events around the world or here at home in Teesside, everyone that’s supported us and, of course, all of the team here in the Big Bite Studio – thank you.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to celebrate.
– The Big Bite Team
